Under clear blue skies and 7 degrees, Cambridge University made a clean sweep of the individual and team competition. Oxford seemed out classed in the more technical Nordic terrain, despite almost the reverse result in the 2001 Varsity Match.

Cambridge Old boys (DRONGO) beat Oxford Old Boys (JOK) in the Challenge Trophy.
