Control descriptions will be on display at registration.

Starts for guest runners will be after two o'clock. Please go to registration in the car park to get a start time and control card. Those who are not going on to the meal/social will have to pay two pounds when registering.

Start

The start and finish are both within 100m of the car park. There will be a one minute call-up at the start. Times will not be adjusted for those who turn up late. Maps will be bagged with written control descriptions attached.

Control Sites

Control sites will have orange and white kites with two letter codes written on each side. There will be two punches at each control.

Finish

Everyone should report to the finish. Maps will be collected until after the last start. Orange squash will be provided at the finish. They can be reclaimed from registration or later in the evening.

Results

There will be no results display at the event - if only to draw out the suspense! The winning teams will be announced at the social. There will be a sheet at the hall on which people can write splits for comparison.

Apres-O

Accommodation

This will be in 'The Barn' at Foxlease guide camp, just south of Lyndhurst. We are allowed in from 2pm.

Turn right out of the event car park. Then, don't turn left back the way you came, instead, continue straight on under the A31. When you reach Lyndhurst you have to go clockwise round the one-way system as shown in the map below. Please drive slowly once in the camp and park in the car park (not in front of the house). At the far end of the car park, the Barn is about 50m to your left.

There are 24 bunk beds in dormitories, showers, a kitchen and a large hall. There are twice as many of us as there are beds so please bring a karrimat in case you have to sleep on the floor. You will also need to bring a sleeping bag. Unfortunately, the swimming pool isn't open at this time of year.

Food

Dinner on the Saturday night will be a delicious spaghetti bolognese along with a veggie option. Please bring a plate and cutlery as we may be short. Breakfast will also be provided.

Social

As well as organising the food, Tim Smith has laid on an excellent social. We have hired a sound system and lights and Tim will be bringing a huge musical selection. If you have obscure tastes, then Tim might not have it, but then, we probably don't want to hear it either. This will be preceded by the prize giving, but only if those who have trophies return them!

Last, but by no means least, there is the beer race. Bitter and plastic glasses will be provided. Teams will consist of nine people of which at least one must be a woman. One of the team will drink a half of beer (or whatever other alcohol they provide).
